I graduated as a Physio in 1998 from Nottingham University and soon developed a particular interest in neurology and specialised in neurological physiotherapy in 2001. Since then, I have worked in many different teams within neurosciences and across London University NHS Hospitals, regional rehabilitation units and NHS and independent community health settings. This, alongside the broad range of different neurological conditions I have treated, has given me a wide breadth of knowledge and experience that I draw upon daily.
I am HCPC registered, have an enhanced DBS and I am a member of ACPIN (Association of Chartererd Physiotherapists interested in Neurology) and the AACP (Association of Acupuncturists of Chartered Physiotherapists).
I can offer neurological physiotherapy on a one to one basis, tailored to individual needs, either at home, a care home or a community setting. I strongly believe in working in partnership with patients and their families to achieve meaningful goals that can positively influence their living. I work in collaboration with my other therapy colleagues to provide a holistic approach. These values underpin my practice.
I also have a passion for teaching. I regularly supervise and teach other physiotherapists in different NHS Trusts and advise carers and health care assistants on best practice. I enjoy updating my skills regularly and have attended many post-graduate Masters level courses and am an Advanced Bobath Practitioner. For more detailed information, please go to my website.
