I am a highly experienced Occupational Therapist who has a passion for working with adults who have Neurological conditions.
I qualified from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 2000 and have worked in the United Kingdom since 2003, specialising in the area of adult neurology from this time. I have worked within the NHS from the acute setting, through rehabilitation units, and in community teams.
I have been working independently since 2013, seeing clients at home, tailoring individual rehabilitation programmes. I have a love of teaching and have extensive experience training junior therapists and creating training packages for carers of clients with neurological conditions. I also supervise other Occupational Therapists in a range of settings.
I am HCPC registered and belong to the British Association of Occupational Therapists as well as the College of OT Specialist Section for Neurological Practice and Specialist Section for Independent Practice. I am committed to continuing professional development, attending regular courses/study evenings/conferences in order to be up to date in my therapy provision.
