I am a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist with 15 years exclusively managing adults with communication and swallowing disorders as a result of neurological conditions. I offer assessment and therapy tailored to you in your own home or care home. In addition, I provide training to care homes, stroke charities, and supervise other Speech and Language Therapists.
I qualified from University College London in 1999 with a Bsc (Hons), and undertook a post- graduate course in Dysphagia management in 2001. I am a ‘Lee Silvermann Voice Treatment’ (LSVT) certified clinician. I am strongly committed to my continuous professional and clinical development and attend regular supervision and courses.
I am a member of the Health Care Professions Council, the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice. Since qualifying, I have worked across a range of healthcare settings in both the NHS and in the Independent Sector.
My therapy integrates many different approaches and I aim for it to be relevant, effective and personal. I find my role rewarding and enjoy working closely with clients and their families towards agreed goals. I believe that meaningful goal negotiation is crucial to giving clients and their families a sense of direction and confidence. For more detailed information please go to my website.
